Meghan, Registered Veterinary Technician

Technician Team Leader

Meghan grew up in the small town of Queensville then moved to Aurora, where she lived until moving to Toronto.

Since she was a little girl Meghan has always wanted to work with and help animals, and as she grew into an adult, that wish has continued.

“I love being around animals; the joy, comfort, love, and peace they make me feel is incomparable.”

Meghan completed the Animal Care Program at Sheridan College in 2011, then went on to the Veterinary Technician Program at Sheridan College where she graduated in 2014.

Meghan’s days at Blue Cross Animal Hospital are filled with surgery preparation, anesthesiology, laboratory diagnostic testing, patient care/monitoring, triage, administer medication, blood draws, dental cleaning and x-rays, and loving care for the pets in hospital.

“I get to help those that do not have a voice. Everyday is different which makes my job exciting, but the end results are the same: I am able to help those animals in every way I can to feel safer, more comfortable, and loved while they are in our care.”

Meghan has 2 beautiful, sweet, and crazy black cats of her own, named Bam and Holmes.

When she’s not at Blue Cross, Meghan loves to read–anything and everything she can get her hands on! She studied fine art for two years before focusing on a career in Animal Care and still paints and draws in her spare time .
