UPDATE: Tiger has a new family! Thanks to everyone who spread the word, and to everyone who expressed an interest in having Tiger in their home. You can read more about his new family here.
Tiger is a 14.5 year old neutered male orange tabby cat, who has been living at Blue Cross Animal Hospital for almost a year. He has low grade chronic renal failure and occasional constipation issues. Tiger gets medications daily–2 types of powder added to his food, a liquid med by mouth, and 1 pill. He is also on a special diet. On this combination of food and medication, Tiger has been extremely stable for several months. He is also missing one eye from an old injury, but this doesn’t trouble him at all. He is very bossy and cranky with other cats, but he loves to sit on human laps.
Now that he has been stable for several months, we think it would be wonderful for Tiger if we could find a foster family to provide a more homey environment for him–one in which he would not have the stress of encountering other cats.
If the right person will foster him, we will cover the cost of his medication, food and medical care as long as he continues to be cared for here at Blue Cross Animal Hospital.
