November is Senior Pet Month at Blue Cross Animal Hospital. It’s a great time to bring your older pet to the vet. It’s not too hot for comfort, but there’s usually no snow yet to make walking your dog or lugging a carrier inconvenient. Our waiting room is generally a bit quieter than it is in the spring and summer–perfect for the more sedate older pet–and you can make sure your pet is in great shape going into the holiday season.
We want to see your Senior Pet!
As your pet ages it’s more and more important to have them examined regularly. A cat or dog can be considered to be entering the “senior years” at the age of seven, and they begin to be at risk for any number of age related issues. We feel so strongly that a thorough health exam is the key to catching health problems early, and keeping your pet healthy and comfortable, that we’re going to make it a bit easier. From now until November 30th, we’re offering a chance to save on our Senior Pet Blood Profile and Urinalysis. These tests of blood and urine are extremely important to catching the early signs of a large number of senior health problems, and we strongly recommend them for all pets seven and older.
Keep your senior pet’s life long and comfortable! We’re looking forward to seeing you both.
