We’ve got another staff favourite product for you: Pawz Dog Boots! Dog boots are essential gear for your pooch in winter:
- Snow and ice can build up on the hair between your pet’s toes, causing you to cut short your walks because your pet is in discomfort.
- Sand, snow and ice melting products are everywhere on our streets. These can become lodged between your pets toes, causing sores and stinging or burning sensations. You may notice your dog refusing to walk, or holding a foot up.
- As well, these discomforts may cause your pet to lick their feet, causing them to ingest the chemicals and develop an upset stomach. some of these chemicals may even be toxic.
PAWZ Dog Boots are the answer! Similar to balloons but made of thicker more durable rubber, Pawz are a somewhat disposable, inexpensive way to protect your dogs paws during the winter months. While they won’t hold up a whole season of long walks, Pawz come in packages of 12, and you can replace individual booties as they wear out. They are easy to put on and take off, available in seven sizes, to fit all sizes of dogs, and stay on very well. There’s no padding between your dog’s pads and the ground, so they can get good feel of the terrain beneath them and feel confident about walking on salty or icy surfaces.
Pawz are available at Blue Cross Animal Hospital, on our Webstore, and in many pets stores.
