Cassandra, Animal Care Attendant
Cassandra was born in the East End of Toronto and has always loved animals and science from a young age. She has a special spot in her heart for Biology and loves topics such as anatomy and physiology. With her love for animals and science, the veterinary profession was a perfect fit for Cassandra. In the future, she hopes to become a Veterinarian.
As an Animal Care Attendant, Cass works alongside our Technicians to assist in surgeries, medical imaging, and appointments with our Veterinarians all while making sure our patients are receiving treats and love. She also cares for our hospitalized patients and our lovely clinic cats and ensures that the clinic is kept tidy and sterile.
Cassandra is currently in the process of finishing her undergraduate degree in Animal Biology. Prior to joining the team at BCAH, she has worked at a dog groomer’s and an emergency and referral practice, just to name a few!
“I love being around our animal patients and being able to care for them – it is a very rewarding job! I also love being a part of a team that is so caring and encourages continuous learning!”
In her spare time, Cass loves to listen to music, baking (especially cookies), and staying active by exploring Toronto or playing Ultimate Frisbee! She currently has a Goldendoodle named Corduroy and two Red-Eared Slider Turtles named Tutti and Frutti. She would also love to have a cat one day!
