Hailing from East York, Erin has had pets since the day she came home as a newborn, so it was natural that she decided that she wanted to work with animals.
In 2000, when she got a chance to move from the printing business into being a full time Animal Care Attendant, Erin jumped at the chance. Now she can’t see herself working in any other setting. Erin spends her days assisting our clients, advocating for patient health by encouraging clients to seek medical attention when needed, and educating clients about preventive health care. She likes to use her own experiences to relate to other pet owners, particularly owners of diabetic pets. She has a lot of tips and tricks she’s learned through having a diabetic dog herself. As well Erin co-manages our Client Care team, whom she describes as “a great team of like-minded animal lovers”.
“I’ve always wanted to work with animals ever since I was a little girl. I believe a house is not a home without a pet.”
Erin currently has two dogs and cats. She has also had hamsters, gerbils, a hedgehog, canaries, a rabbit that lived to the ripe old age of 13, and even had foster chickens for a short time!
