This Victoria Day is going to look very different from previous long weekends. Large gatherings are prohibited and park use is restricted. We shouldn’t have to worry about fireworks scaring your pet. While it’s not what we’re used to, we wish you an enjoyable weekend.
Maybe you’re staying in the city and enjoying some social-distanced walks with a friend, or maybe you’re heading up to check on the cottage. Whatever you’re doing, we hope your pets bring you great comfort and happiness during these trying times. Don’t forget to review our advice for your Pet during Covid-19.
Note that we are following our altered Covid -19 Hours.
We will be CLOSED Saturday, May 16th, and OPEN on Monday, May 18th.
And of course, Ticks don’t care about pandemics…
If you walk your dog in Toronto parks or ravines or take them up north to the cottage, don’t forget that Ticks are a serious health risk for you and your pets. We can’t test for tick exposure until our services expand, likely in a few weeks, but it is time to get them started on preventive.
Even with the preventives, make sure you check yourself, your family, and your pets carefully if you have been outdoors in long grass or woods.
If you need preventives for your pets, please phone ahead to our medication line (416) 469-1121, ext. 3 to order your pet’s preventive and we will give you instructions on collecting it.
We are scheduling all medication pick-ups to allow for social distancing at our front door. By ordering in advance we can have your medication ready and deliver it to you in a safe manner. Please do not arrive at the door requesting medication or food without a scheduled appointment.
