Patient Care Attendant

Cyndi

Born and raised in São Paulo, Brazil, Cyndi chose the veterinary profession because she loves being surrounded by animals and taking care of them.

While studying in preparation for her university exams in Brazil, Cyndi attended a seminar about Veterinary Medicine which peaked her interest right away. She then decided that’s what she wanted to do, and attended São Paulo State University (UNESP) until she graduated with a degree in Veterinary Medicine in 2017. Cyndi has done several internships and has practiced Veterinary Medicine for a year before immigrating to Canada. She hopes to expand her knowledge in the field to help her decide if she will apply for her DVM license in Canada.

As a Patient Care Attendant, Cyndi assists our Technicians and Doctors by holding patients for procedures, monitoring during surgeries, feeding hospitalized patients, and keeping the clinic clean and tidy.

Cyndi feels grateful to be able to help animals and work with them. She loves working at BCAH because of our friendly Team who are always willing to help and explain when she has questions.

Outside of work, Cyndi likes to spend time with her husband and friends. She loves listening to music, exploring Toronto, and playing volleyball and board games. Cyndi has yet to get a pet in Canada but would love to adopt a cat in the near future.
