Dr. Ellison was born and raised in Toronto and has wanted to become a Veterinarian since he was around 7-8 years old when learned that there were doctors for animals.

With about 17 years of varied clinical experience, Dr. Ellison obtained his Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Ontario Veterinary College and has a special interest in diagnostic/internal medicine. He has taken several courses in ultrasound studies and is always looking to expand his knowledge.

On a typical day at BCAH, Dr. Ellison sees patients for examinations, diagnoses and treats sick pets, and performs ultrasounds. He loves working at Blue Cross due to our “amazing culture” of extremely skilled and professional individuals who work well to support each other.

Dr. Ellison currently has 3 cats named Gloria, Maple, and Watts. In his spare time, he loves to play hockey and the guitar, and spending time with his wife and two children.
