Dr. Mina Hosseini

Dr. Mina Hosseini was born and grew up in Iran before she immigrated to Canada a couple of years ago. She developed her love of animals at an early age. She spent her childhood amongst her grandfather's diverse livestock, where she developed a passion for animals. She later rescued a cat and a turtle, sparking her interest in knowing more about animals, which led her to pursue a career in veterinary medicine.

Dr. Mina graduated in 2016 where she began her journey dedicated to the health and welfare of animals.

Alongside her clinical work, her fascination with animal behavior propelled her to pursue advanced studies. This pursuit resulted in a post-doctoral research position at York University, where she did research on orangutans' behavior at the Toronto Zoo!

Dr. Mina spends her days at Blue Cross Animal Hospital, examining and treating patients, doing research, and reading medical journals. She finds working at our clinic very fulfilling and enjoys working alongside the staff.

Although she does not have a pet right now, she would love to have a dog one day, a German shepherd or a Chihuahua. Dr. Mina loves to do Yoga, read, and watch movies when she has some down time after work.
