Heather was born and raised in Toronto and the Durham Region. She chose to work at BCAH because it brings her great joy to help pets that are ill or afraid.

Heather works at our Front Desk and the Call Centre. She greets our clients and pets for appointments, books exams and Technician visits, and communicates patient care and hospital protocol to owners over email and phone. Heather became a certified Dog Trainer in 2021 and has been training dogs in group and private settings, focusing on basic to advanced obedience and basic behavior modification. With her expertise, she facilitates “Happy Visits,” for our patients where pets who are particularly anxious in the clinic come for a short victory lap around the clinic for some treats and cuddles, if accepted.  

Since 2012, Heather has been in the veterinary industry as a Dog-Walker and also managed a Doggie Daycare/Boarding Facility, even boarding dogs in her own home a lot of the time. In 2017, she began working at another veterinary practice and immediately fell in love with the fast-paced environment and attention to detail required to work in a veterinary clinic. In 2018, she started at Blue Cross Animal Hospital as a Client Care Representative and couldn’t be happier!

When Heather is not at work, she’s spending time with her beautiful baby daughter, husband, and two cats, Doug and Bill. She loves to spend time outdoors with them and cozy up on the couch watching movies. If she has any spare time outside of work and family, she enjoys spending time with her friends.
