Hospital Manager- On Maternity Leave

Nerma

Nerma grew up on a farm in Bosnia before moving to Canada when she was 9 years old. Her love for animals began early on so it’s no surprise that she choose the veterinary industry for her career which began 17 years ago. She has done it all. Her first position was in Animal Care which gave her the opportunity to lovingly look after your furry family, a role she loved and did with great pride and joy. Nerma’s next role was in Client Care which gave her an opportunity to interact with the family of the dogs and cats she looked after for so many years. She loved the daily interactions with our clients, the stories, the pictures and the connection. Nerma’s most recent role as Hospital Manager allows her to dip her toes in all areas of the clinic. “I Love supporting both our wonderful staff and clients.” This role allows me to implement change, put forth better practices and champion our Hospital’s core values and mission.”

When Nerma is not at the clinic she’s chasing after one of her kids- whether that be her 1 year old daughter Mila or 11 year old husky Nyx, or one of her two troublemaker cats, Herman and Hunter.

Factoid: Nerma has a twin sister who also works at BCAH. Most people don’t know this, they tend to think she works all day and changes her uniform several times throughout her shift!
