Patient Care Attendant (On Maternity Leave)

Saima

Saima was born and raised in Dhaka, Bangladesh and moved to Toronto with her family and 2 dogs Ghurni and Tinku, in 2020. Saima adopted her cat Cuddles when she arrived in Canada.

Saima studied Dentistry in Bangladesh before she came to Canada and completed a diploma in Veterinary Healthcare Assistance from CDI College.

She remembers loving animals from an early age, her hometown was over populated which resulted in many stray cats- this compelled her to help . This kindness and dedication to animals reflects in her day to day routine as an Patient Care Attendant, where she’s busy looking after the patients; ensuring that they have a warm cozy bed, fresh water and food.  Saima ensures that your pets stay is as comfortable as possible while at the clinic.

“I have learned so many things from the amazing Blue Cross Team. Everyone is so patient when teaching new things and in the way they tend to the patients, which is a reflection of how much they care”.

Although Saima has a dentistry background she is quite artistic, working as a professional henna artist for 14 years in Bangladesh! Henna has taken a back seat for now, Saima just doodles from time to time. When she is not busy perfecting her art, she enjoys gardening and reading.
